A little about Dr. Alyssa
Dr. Alyssa is a Pediatric Physical Therapist, but more importantly a wife and mother of 2 sweet babes. Although she began her career practicing within school-based pediatrics, Dr. Alyssa's private practice continues to shift and evolve just as all of our lives do. When she began raising her first child, she noticed a gap in care and access to tools regarding early motor development! This is the foundation to learning and participating in academics. As a Physical Therapist, she works with movement and function in the body and addresses impairments that don't allow for optimal function whether or not a kiddo has a labeled diagnosis. For our babies, their optimal function is play!
Furthermore, Physical Therapy is oftentimes thought of as a service only provided to kiddos with diagnoses such as down syndrome, cerebral palsy or gross motor delay. Dr. Alyssa’s expertise perfectly lends itself to guiding typically developing infants and their families through wellness visits centered around purposeful play and education to decrease the presence of preventable motor delays! You don’t need to wait and see, you can also be proactive!
She is here to empower, educate and arm you with accurate expectations of child development. Her programs uniquely fit into your life to allow a fun, sustainable routine that supports your child's development and strengthens your bond from Day One. Dr. Alyssa is passionate about helping parents navigate the 4th trimester while deepening the connection with their infant through purposeful play, infant handling and understanding each phase of development.
